Anacortes Midwifery Care offers 24/7 coverage, high-quality, low-intervention care, including birth experiences in at home and in 2 different hospital settings. Island Health Birth Center is our primary hospital birth location. WhidbeyHealth Medical Center’s Family Birthplace is an option in the rare instances when IslandHealth is full or on divert. These options allow for the widest array of medical and pain relief options (including nitrous oxide and epidural) for labor, should they be indicated or requested.
